First ever India-Vietnam Bilateral Army Exercise from Jan 29 in Jabalpur

The first ever India-Vietnam Bilateral Army Exercise (VINBAX-2018) will be conducted at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh from January 29 to February 03, as part of joint training undertaken with friendly foreign countries by Indian Army.

This will be a Table Top Exercise to carry out training for Peace Keeping Operations under United Nations mandate and will be jointly undertaken between 15 officers each from Indian Army and Vietnam People’s Army, said Gargi Malik Sinha in a statement released here on Wednesday.

The joint exercise has been especially designed to enable and train officers from Vietnam in United Nations Peace Keeping Operations.

India’s long and illustrious history as one of the longest serving and major troops contributing country to United Nations Peace Keeping Operations will provide an unique opportunity to Vietnam People’s Army and will empower both nations to understand each other’s best training practices, tactics and procedures.

The joint exercise, mutual interaction and sharing of experiences amongst both the armies shall further strengthen cultural and historical ties between the nations and take the bilateral relations forward to greater heights.
